I have noticed that whenever I don't workout for just one day I don't feel nearly as much myself as I normally do. Exercising has become a huge part of my life and everyday I workout I feel much better then I do if I don't. It may sound weird but i also love that feeling of being sore after a really good workout. It may hurt but its like a good kind of soreness. Long story short. I love working out.
I wish I had the same passion for working out as you do! I just usually find something better to do rather than going to the gym. Over the summer however, I worked at a day camp at Chatham University and we had access to their gym. I did make it to the gym every other day and did enjoy it. I swore I would keep up with it even after camp but I guess with being busy and other stuff going on, I just haven't. It's really great that you enjoy it so much though and keep up with it. As we all know, it's really good for you!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean when you say you dont feel the same if you dont work out. With playing on the soccer team, we worked out/trained every day. Now our season is over I feel lost. Its just normal college work now. No training, no seeing the girls every day, its just weird. So when you say you love the feeling of being sore after a good hard workout I know exactly what you're talking about. I miss it and its only been about a week since season ended.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean Amanda about going a day without a workout. Working out has become a part of my life just like you had mentioned. Considering my first degree (Sports and Exercise Science) almost gives it away that I enjoy working out. I work out 5 days a week and when I miss a day I feel lost or out of my normal routine because I have "synched" working out into my days and if I deviate away I feel weird. I sometimes say I'm gonna get out of shape because I missed one day. I remember when my knee started to give me problems, I was "benched" from working out. I couldn't do much of my cardiovascular workout and I felt weird.
ReplyDeleteEndorphins. This is a result from working out and training our bodies. We all experience it and some may have a greater experience due to higher intensity workout sessions. You can think of of it as similar to a slight adrenaline rush. That is why many people feel so alive or energetic after a great workout. As far as the love for training, I love it also!
