Cell Phone Mayhem
I will start this story by telling everyone the end. After accessing the Verizon chaperon app., i discovered that my phone was in Bridgeville, PA, which is near Pittsburgh for those who don't know. The problem with this you might ask? I haven't been near Pittsburgh in weeks. So, now I'm going to start back at the beginning. Yesterday I went to get a Mani-peddi with my boyfriends sister. (oh by the way boys a Mani-peddi is girl code for making their nails all pretty). After paying we left to get dinner and do some shopping. After a great day we start to relax at her place around 8. It is not until this point when I realized that my cell phone was MIA. That is when the physical symptoms began. My stomach dropped, heart raced, and i felt sick. What would i do without my phone!! I raced backed to the salon but with no luck. They were closed. This is where the end of my story really begins. It's funny how in t2010 how attached we all are to our cellphones. How when we even lose them for a split second we feel as though were going to die. So no denying it! You have most definitely experienced it before whether you want to admit it or not. Welcome to the technology age.

I completely agree with everything you just said! I can't stand not having my cell phone with me or right in my pocket at all times. It's odd that a "normal" conversation now a days has to go through text instead of face to face. I personally believe that everyone in the school should have to take TC for class because he actually teaches you how to communicate with each other and not communicate with each other through texting.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with everything you said Amanda! I know I've left my phone numerous places, but the one incident I can recall was a few years ago when I went to work. I had a bad habit of leaving my phone on my lap while driving so normally when I would get out of the car, it would drop to the ground. Eventually I learned to just put my phone on the passenger seat so that wouldn't happen! But anyways, I went to work one day and was working for about 3 hours before I realized my phone was missing, I wear a case on my hip so I just assumed my phone was in the case. When I realized it was missing, I didn't know where it could have went. It does suck not having your phone because all of your numbers are in it and not to mention, it costs too much to replace one these days! I went back out to my car and of course my phone was laying on the ground next to my car. It had been raining all morning also but luckily my phone still worked!
ReplyDeleteso true! Our cellphones are like are heart, we cant live without it. It's no doubt cellphones are important. I don't like how we are obsessed with technology. Now they want more of it in PE. technology in PE will ruin the true message of PE. Technology is great but not the best. Plus it's not always reliable
ReplyDeleteI have left my cell phone somewhere before and it is awful. I had to go back right away to get it. I had no idea how to get through my day without it. Phones are now like attached to us and we don't know what to do if we don't have it. I do not think that we need as much technology as we have.
ReplyDeleteEverytime I seem to misplace or a couple times of losing my phone; I feel the same way you had. Our society as a whole has been so absorbed and sucked into using technnology that without it life cant go on. I tried not to use my cell phone or computer for a couple days, but especially a cell phone it was very difficult. Life as it is now, kids go away to college and adults are always on the go and with no permenant means of communication a cell phone is able to provide this. Hopefully you were able to find your phone or I could imagine you got a new one very quickly!
ReplyDeleteThis is so true! I hate that feeling you get when you realize you dont know where your cell phone is! That sounds like an interesting app you have though! I will have to check it out!
