Foreign Language

During a few of my classes I have teachers who's native touges are not English. Most of the time I have no idea what their talking about because I can't understand what their saying. This makes me wonder how I am expected to learn in these classes. This also makes me wonder how the students I teach will be able to understand me. I also feel bad for these students.

Pennsylvania Winter My Butt

So I have been living in Pennsylvania for all but the first two years of my life and I can not remember ever having a winter as bad as the ones we have in Slippery Rock. I would think that since I live further north that I would experience harsher winters with more freezing temperatures but that is not the case. So far in my three years at SRU I have gone through everything from -20 degree days where I had to walk back to the dorms from McKay to getting my car stuck in the snow in a parking three times in one week. If this is what Pennsylvania weather really looks like get me out of this state ASAP!

A Day without a Workout

I have noticed that whenever I don't workout for just one day I don't feel nearly as much myself as I normally do. Exercising has become a huge part of my life and everyday I workout I feel much better then I do if I don't. It may sound weird but i also love that feeling of being sore after a really good workout. It may hurt but its like a good kind of soreness. Long story short. I love working out.

Cell Phone Mayhem

I will start this story by telling everyone the end. After accessing the Verizon chaperon app., i discovered that my phone was in Bridgeville, PA, which is near Pittsburgh for those who don't know. The problem with this you might ask? I haven't been near Pittsburgh in weeks. So, now I'm going to start back at the beginning. Yesterday I went to get a Mani-peddi with my boyfriends sister. (oh by the way boys a Mani-peddi is girl code for making their nails all pretty). After paying we left to get dinner and do some shopping. After a great day we start to relax at her place around 8. It is not until this point when I realized that my cell phone was MIA. That is when the physical symptoms began. My  stomach dropped, heart raced, and i felt sick. What would i do without my phone!! I raced backed to the salon but with no luck. They were closed. This is where the end of my story really begins. It's funny how in t2010 how attached we all are to our cellphones. How when we even lose them for a split second we feel as though were going to die. So no denying it! You have most definitely experienced it before whether you want to admit it or not. Welcome to the technology age.
